Brown Sugar Book Club
The purpose of this book club is to build intentional connection, community and relationships. This is a light and airy supportive book club, to support, foster and grow our love of books and learning! There is no pressure or shame if you can’t get to a book or a meeting sometimes. This is for all levels of readers, the bibliophiles that read multiple books at once and the readers who may not have picked up a book since school! We can definitely share and talk about any and all books.

What kind of books are read? Our aim is to foster diversity through a wide-ranging exploration of literary genres, with a focus on amplifying the voices and perspectives of Black authors. -

Where can I find what we will be reading each month? We vote in the GroupMe each month for the next month's pick, which is then posted in GroupMe and on Instagram. -

How much does it cost to join? The book club is FREE. -

When are meetings held? We are based in Dallas, TX. Our meetings will be held every first Thursday of the month. We host our meetings in person to build community. Locations vary and are posted in advance.
